The Alexander Popoff Youth Award poetry contest is aimed at people ages 16 years old and younger. The contest was established by Alex’s sister, American poet Georgia Popoff.

First prize: $100.

Guidelines:

• Poems must relate to some aspect of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
• No reading fee.
• Email entries to: stazja@yahoo.com.
• Submission deadline: November 1, 2009.
