<p>He has written and published three books: a thriller, <em>For the Fairest</em> (Fountain Publishers, 1991); a collection of short stories, <em><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/9970025244?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=leicesterevie-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=9970025244">Pale Souls Abroad</a></em> (Fountain Publishers, 2004); and a novel, <em><a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/9970025309?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=leicesterevie-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=9970025309">Saints and Scarecrows</a></em> (Fountain Publishers, 2007).</p>
<p>His first novel, <em>For the Fairest</em>, won the 1993 Uganda Publishers and Booksellers Association (UPABA) Award for best fiction and was reviewed by <em><a href="http://www.newvision.co.ug/">The New Vision</a></em> and <em>Radio Uganda</em>, among others.</p>

<p>He spent some time at art college before getting a degree in English Literature. He has worked, among other things, as a police officer, a privacy analyst, a school bus driver and a Starbucks Store Manager.</p>
<p>His first novel, <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1430311541?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=leicesterevie-20&amp;linkCode=xm2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creativeASIN=1430311541"><em>Black Dog Bleeding</em></a> (Lulu, 2008) explores South Africa&#8217;s <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_African_apartheid">apartheid</a> era and the personal cost paid by individuals who found the policy abhorrent and resisted it.</p>
